Sierra Cascade Land Trust Council
Strategic Conservation Action Plan

Collaborative Conservation at the Frontlines of the Climate Crisis

Land and Water Connections worked with the Sierra Cascade Land Trust Council — a group of 20 local and regional land trusts — to develop a strategic conservation plan for the Sierra Cascade region, which covers 35 million acres and portions of 31 counties in the state of California. The region houses a unique diversity of ecosystems and faces major threats from climate change, wildfire, development, and recreation pressure.

We led partner engagement (workshops and surveys), the creation of a shared vision and strategic analysis, report writing, and oversight of the web-based conservation tool that was developed for this project.

“Amy is a brilliant project manager who is consistently professional, creative, punctual, and delivers high-quality products.”

“The Sierra Cascade Land Trust Council, made up of 20 conservation organizations in California, hired Amy to lead our Strategic Conservation Action Plan project in 2020/2021. Her work exceeded all of my expectations. I would highly recommend hiring Amy as a consultant.”
